Tennis, Writing

Daily writing prompt
What activities do you lose yourself in?
Me specifically *not* watching Feliciano López play tennis, Cincinnati 2006.

Apart from me rapping Eminem lyrics in my head right now, this feels like a rehash of a former prompt. I’m answering it, but barely.

I like to watch tennis. I can always get engrossed in a good match (see photo above). And no, I do not have anything personal against Feli. He is quite nice. I don’t know why I wasn’t watching he and Rafa play doubles, but I do know someone from Getty Images (?) caught me (not) doing it.

I like to write. Time seems to slip by when I’m in the writing zone. I think most of us here can relate to that.

Have a great day, everyone.

My book LOVE MATCH waiting with good company for an online review, circa 2005.

    1. Good theory, Mary. The problem is that Rafa was on the same side of the net as Feliciano. I have no idea what I was looking at.😆
You haven’t missed the pink hat post. 🩷 I haven’t written it yet.

      1. Yes, it was doubles. 😊 That’s why Feli is crouched so low to the ground. Rafa is behind him ready to serve, and if he doesn’t get low like that, he’ll get a tennis ball to the back of the noggin. 😉
As many hats as I have, I should probably write hat stories every day. 👒🎩👩🏼‍🌾🕵🏼

      2. That makes sense. Nobody wants to get whacked with a wicked hard serve! I love hats, but I’m 5’8”+, so I always feel like they just make me too tall. Yes, tell your hat stories, for those who are too tall, we can live vicariously

      3. No such thing as too tall. You can reach stuff easily. I have to climb shelves. The hat stories will continue (assuming I don’t forget to write them) haha
