Here’s a photo of one of my clematis blooming. It’s actually the only one blooming right now, and this tiny plant has never had such a large bloom. I think it might be its only bloom. I like to get artsy with the photos, so there are two close-ups.

Isn’t it lovely? it’s never bloomed this large of a flower before. The only thing I can think that is different is that I had the tree canopy lifted so more sunlight could reach the backyard. I think the clematis shows me its appreciation. I have dark violet clematis in the front but they are not blooming quite yet. I found a hummingbird nest in one of them last year, so I’m hoping the bird returns this year. 🤞

We’ve had very hot weather where I live so that’s partially the reason for it, although I will say the front ones are late for this time of year.
