Writing

Mini-Hiatus

Hello everyone, each day I draw closer to starting my new job. It has become evident to me that I won’t have the time to write very much or very often, and even leading up to starting my new job, I don’t have very much time to devote to the process.

It’s starting to get warm and nice outside and as you know, I like to be outside with the plants. It’s staying light later and the draw to be outside is considerably greater than when it gets dark earlier.

All of this to say that I’m taking a mini-hiatus from blogging. I’ll be training on my new job for months, not just for a few weeks. I also want to get into a routine of working out again, because nothing helps the mind more than moving the body.

There are still a lot of things that I need to do this week in my home office and around my house that I haven’t done, and I need to put down the phone and the laptop and do them.

I’m not going away forever, and I may still post, but I am not putting any pressure on myself. It’s a time of transition and it has been since I lost my job in March. There have been numerous large changes, not just that one, which has equated to me not being around very much.

This is not a goodbye, it’s a see you later.

  1. I will be sending good vibes into the multiverse for you. Will miss seeing all your posts. I enjoy binge reading your blog when I get a minute to relax.

I completely relate though. I have no personal life and barely a handful of free time. I actually resorted to scheduling my web blog posts to only twice a month. Since it takes me like a week to finish one post idea. How did I honestly believe being single would be less busy. “Silly wabbit.”

Happy vibes to your new job❤️

    1. I hadn’t seen you around and I figured you had moved recently so I hope all is going well for you, too. I’m sure I’ll be back with more frequency but for right now it’s just a little much.

    1. Thanks, I appreciate that. My mind is just not on writing at the moment. I’ll have so many new things to learn that I know I won’t be able to be writing for a little bit.

    1. Thank you, that is the one thing about life that never changes: it’s always changing. Definitely a dramatic rearrange this time around. Certainly not one that I ask for but one that I am tasked with

      1. 😕 I’ll be back
I’m not sure when yet, but when I get my new schedule and get more comfortable in my new job, things will settle down

  2. Amy, best of luck to you on the new job! I hope it’s all you want it to be. Maybe use Notes to jot down any funny/poignant/whatever stuff that happens through your hiatus for future content 😎

  3. I understand. While I know this is different, I’ve taken time off recently, also. I hope to see you back, at least now and then, before too much time passes. Best wishes.

    1. Thanks. It’s really just until I get settled into my new routine and know how much time I have to post. It may just be back to daily prompts for a while, or photos. The other problem is that I enjoy interacting with everyone and I am not sure I’m going to have enough time to read everyone’s blogs and post to my own. I am capturing all of the plants blooming in anticipation of posting. I’m glad you’re back and I will be back soon, although I can’t for sure give a definition of the word soon.
