Daily writing prompt
What is your middle name? Does it carry any special meaning/significance?
Nice try, WordPress.
And yes, it’s a real word. Mary Poppins made it famous, but it existed before that movie. Meaning: extraordinarily good, wonderful.

Yeah, I would not let them know my names either… Especially now since I blog somewhat anonymously.

They are data mining, and it’s blatantly obvious. Stay anonymous.

😂 I just answered the daily prompt myself and linked to this one. Of course in an awesome way, much like yourself 😘❤️

That’s actually a full song by Quincy Jones. It’s called “The Streetbeater”. It’s really cool.

I just watched it again. You can’t go wrong with anything Quincy Jones did.

You should look up the full song. 5 minutes of funk goodness. 👍

I haven’t seen that yet, but I’ve had someone wax poetic about my eyes in the comments today. It’s never a dull moment at WordPress. Lol
LikeLiked by 1 person
Well, they are lovely eyes, after all
I’ll spare you the poetry though 😄
LikeLiked by 1 person
Why, thank you. 😊
It wasn’t bad poetry, but it was heavy on oceanic themes and diving. One might call it abstract poetry. 🤷♀️

Abstract eye poetry.
The birth of a genre.
LikeLiked by 1 person
It sounds like something Picasso-ish.

This could be a legit side hustle lol

lol!!!
Maybe. Explain the process of writing abstract eye poetry 🤣

Look at someone’s eyes.
Write abstract words.
Call it a poem.
Profit.

lol! We have not done a single thing, except you have explained what abstract eye poetry is. I have not composed an abstract poem.

Well?
Eyes. Crystalline. Shimmering. Prismatic.
Reflecting me back at myself.
Your eyes are the mirror into my soul.
Under the glass moons running with paper tigers.
Since I clearly have to to all the work while you take Women’s Day off. 🙄😋

It’s an international holiday. 😆
Not bad for your first try at abstract poetry. I think you found your side hustle.

Hey, in the grand scheme, it isn’t terrible, I suppose lol
Yes, yes. That’s fine. I’ll write the poem. 🙄
😉

Tomorrow is no longer a holiday, so I will be able to write abstract eye poetry. 😆

Oh, ok then. We shall see what you come up with then!

I’ve decided to compose my poem early. Somewhere it’s already tomorrow.
I wonder why
My eyes can’t see the inside of my eyelids when I close them
Wind happens in March
April brings the tears from the sky
The sky cries its eyes
Down
In May the flowers
The eyes watch
The colors
Bloom

I looked up how to write abstract poetry, and I saw some examples. They made absolutely no sense to me, so I figured I’d just throw some words together, and there you have it. 😆
LikeLiked by 1 person
So, you did what the examples showed you? 😄😄

Emily Dickinson, CS, Lewis, William Yates, Louis Carroll… Names I know, but poetry I’m not into
LikeLiked by 1 person
I’m actually not either. Other than mine and what fellow bloggers write, it doesn’t do much for me, oddly enough.

I like poetry, I just don’t like abstract poetry

must have been heck learning to spell that as a kid!

Susan, it was really difficult. That’s why my first name is so short. My parents felt really bad about giving me that middle name, the least they could do was shorten my first name.

Parental regret is a painful thing. So painful. Glad they at least gave you a short firsty. Can you imagine if they had named Caractacus Supercalifragietc?!
LikeLiked by 1 person
If they had, I would still be learning how to spell it to this day.

I wonder how it’s going to look 20 years from now when all the hayleighs and kaydenns and pre’scriptions grow up. People are using cray cray names these days.
LikeLiked by 1 person
They are. I think people have always used crazy names. We just are more aware of it now due to social media.
