WordPress Not Working

I’m trying to like and reply and interact with you guys, but this issue with WordPress is worse each day, and I can only get in here for a few minutes before it tells me I’m off-line. I am not off-line and every other website works. I am sure I am not the only one struggling, but I feel like I am.

Please know that I see your likes and your comments and I am trying to reply to you. Thanks for your patience.

  1. It’s not just you! I’ve had issues for over a year.

It kills me because I want to interact on a larger scale but WordPress can’t get their proverbial shit together.

Instead we are adding in some open source that is non essential to the main priorities.

There is a link to my Facebook page on last Thursdays post. You can ALWAYS find me there! ❤️

      1. Yes, and I have no idea who they are. I just know my list diminishes and I have to try to figure out who the people are that are gone.

  2. 🤔 Amy, are you using the web version of WordPress or the Jetpack mobile app?

Things seem to be fine on my side regarding both the web version of WordPress and the Jetpack mobile app.

    1. I’m using WordPress in my browser on my phone and I’m using the Jetpack mobile app. And they simultaneously do not work. Conversely, occasionally they simultaneously work. But they both always malfunction at the same time.

      1. 🤔 Whenever that happens, you should try using the web version of WordPress on your computer (It is working quite well at the moment).

      1. i’m sorry you are having so much trouble! jetpack was a booger at first but somehow it started working. maybe i updated it? or maybe it was one of those stupid technological mysteries that exasperate us all

  3. Yeah, same here. WP is acting up. I keep swapping between laptop (safari and chrome) and my phone app to answer and like comments. The software updates that WP are pushing out are terrible and I don’t think that they are fully testing before deployment. Enterprise side of WP is terrible and a few system engineers need to be fired.

    1. It’s frustrating. They are pushing too many updates and they are all filled with bugs. In the morning, I just don’t have time to get out my laptop and fuss with WordPress because it’s temperamental. I wish they would stop doing this. It’s affecting our community’s ability to interact with each other. Perhaps it’s a social experiment? 🤷‍♀️

  4. Maybe but it’s really sad that a global content sharing / website hosting platform like WP is operating like rookies. They have years of experience so these technical issues are unacceptable. I need to do some reading, maybe they are cutting costs by hiring incompetent engineers and software developers and we, the customers, are unaware of that.

  5. Hi Amy, I have been having similar problems on WP. The phone app is unusable for me. It’s quite frustrating. Have you tried to log in from a diffrent browser on your desktop? I use Safari and Opera interchangeably. Sometimes WP refuses to work on Safari and I switch to Opera where it works alright.

    1. Hi Aboli, i’m sorry you’ve been having similar problems. The phone app never works in the morning for me. I have no idea why. At that time of the day I can’t access my laptop, but I should try it later on in the day when I can. I’ve only been using Safari, but I appreciate you mentioning that sometimes we press refuses Safari. aside from not being able to log on and comment and like I find it incredibly frustrating that WordPress unsubscribes me from blogs. I know it must be happening in the reverse, as well, and it’s so frustrating.
