Waze, Usually

Daily writing prompt
What gives you direction in life?

It’s a pretty decent app. Back in the day we had to use MapQuest, which was like being a modern pirate. Before that, there were maps, which was like being a regular pirate.

Have a great day, everyone!

  1. LOL! Back in the day when I was a hospice nurse, I had to use Mapquest to find my patients’ houses. You’re right that it was like being a modern pirate. LOL (You saying that made me LOL for real. 😀 )

If my patient was located in Detroit, and using Mapquest… well, I could just forget it. I once called my dad from leaving a patient’s house, sobbing, and begging him to figure out where I was. LOLOLOL

    1. I can relate, Kymber. I have a very poor sense of direction and could get lost in a box. I would have to do practice runs to a place that I wasn’t familiar with, and I still have to do this, although GPS has made things easier. Looking back on it, it feels like we were living in the wild back then! And we kind of were. 😂

    1. Waze is reasonably accurate. I know it doesn’t work everywhere, but I’m glad it worked for you. There are some places where it doesn’t work at all, and then it leads people to water instead of land. 🫣 Can you imagine having to use MapQuest now?

      1. You would definitely need another person in the car. There’s no way you could drive safely and be looking at a map. It would feel so foreign.
