I waited, but you didn’t return
The clematis weren’t as tall
Nor as full
And they bloomed too early
Because of that heat wave
So soon
I missed you this year
But I still have your nest from last year
And I’ll save it forever
Maybe I’ll see you next year
I really hope so
✨✨✨

I found a nest last year, and I put it in the shadowbox it’s in my living room. I wrote a poem about that too. It’s here somewhere. I’m glad you enjoyed it.😊

Most beautiful indeed. Welcome back. You’ve been missed. 😊

Thanks, Kevin. Not my best work, but I’m a little rusty. I’m glad to be back. I have missed being here and interacting with everyone. My schedule is still crazy so I can’t promise anything, but I will try to be more present. 😊

Fear not, I totally get it. Going through it myself. As it is, I am eating and going to bed soon. 4am comes mighty early lol

Oh my gosh, 4 AM? I haven’t seen 4 AM since I commuted. 4 AM arrives seemingly right after you close your eyes. Lol

4, 4:30. Anywhere in there, yeah. And I just got off night shift a bit over a week ago lol

Ugh! As far as I’m concerned 4 AM is still nighttime. Lol. Those days were brutal. I was on the road by five and driving 30 miles. I don’t miss it lol

I don;t have to drive 30 miles, but it’s far enough, and I need time to wake and have a coffee or two. I hate bombing out of bed and running for the door.

Well, I don’t drink coffee, and I like to be asleep as long as possible, so I used to roll out of bed and roll out the door 😁

I need the wake up time. I am not a bomb out of bed and go kind of fella LOL

Cool that you saved the nest! We did have hummers this year and they are just so fricking unique. Great to see a post from it’s Amy!

Thanks, Susan! Sorry for the late reply, it’s a challenging, busy time. I’m glad you saw some hummingbirds this year.😊

Thankyou! I initially wasn’t sure if you talking about a flower, the hummingbird or what (what is a bad general descriptor for what I won’t mention). So I had to read a few times. I notice you mention hummingbird in the comments above, but I suspect there’s more to it than that, or maybe that’s putting my own thoughts into someone else’s words. Again!
Thankyou, again!

It’s about the hummingbird. I wrote a poem about finding its nest last summer or fall. 😊

Thanks, Kymber. It was a beautiful image that Kevin created so I wanted to have the same tone to match. 🌼

Thanks! I miss my birdie friend this year.

Amazing tinted look of the hummingbird scene. I think the poem alludes to more than this bird.
