“I don’t know” is actually becoming one of my favourite answers to life. 😂 Sometimes we spend so much time trying to find explanations, make plans and pretend we know what is going to happen next, when the honest answer is simply: I don’t know.
I’ve had rather a lot of practice with uncertainty lately, thanks to my ongoing SASSA and Home Affairs saga. 🤣 Every time I think I understand what is happening, another department, another verification, another email or another unanswered question appears.
So I’ve learned that sometimes the best response really is:
“I don’t know. We’ll see.”
And then you make your coffee, get on with the day, look after Rambo, take some photographs, sew something, write a story and carry on. 😂
Perhaps we don’t always need to know what comes next. Sometimes we just need to keep going until we find out.
Although I must admit, after everything I’ve been through recently, I am becoming extremely comfortable with saying “I don’t know.” 🤣❤️

Better to be truthful and not know then to say you know, and have no clue. 😊

Absolutely! 😊 I would much rather hear an honest “I don’t know” than a very confident answer from someone who clearly has absolutely no idea. 😂
Sometimes “I don’t know” is actually the most intelligent answer available. ❤️
