Hitting Steps Is Wrong

Hit 5,000 steps today and drop your achievement here — we’re cheering you on!

What a strange prompt! In the fitness industry now, are we, WP? Or is it violence against steps and staircases?

Either way, I don’t want to answer this. I’m gonna give it my ole “ridicule response.”

And remember, get those steps in by any means necessary!

      1. Yeah, it’s pretty awesome! But sometimes I think I’d be willing to work year-round if it meant talking to grown-ups and going to the bathroom whenever I wanted to

      2. I’m feeling every bit of it here in Detroit today, myself! Thankfully, it’s “only“ supposed to hit 90 here today. And it looks like it will be cooling off over the weekend and into next week

      3. We’re back at 100° today for the high. This is the actual temperature, not a heat index. It’s the third day in a row for it, but hopefully after this, it cools down…

      4. Wow!

We got a pretty good storm last night. The temperature really dropped. We’re supposed to get some more rain today with the high being “only“ 84.

Hang in there. Relief is on the way.

      5. We had a storm watch, but nothing happened. I’m constantly outside giving water to the animals and having to water my plants twice a day. It’s brutal.

      6. Summer girl, born in the summer, but since I’ve been diagnosed with this brain malformation, I can’t take the heat. It does terrible things to my head/brain. I can take normal heat and I like it a lot, but I can’t take 101° with a heat index of 115°. It’s not normal heat. Luckily, we had storms last night and it is down to a more normal summer heat. Still humid though.

      7. That’s totally understandable.

Yeah, it’s raining a little bit here and there now. But only enough to make it more humid, like you mentioned. We probably both need about a solid day of rain just to get rid of this humidity once and for all.

      8. And to help the plants recover! They look sickly. I’ve been out there with the hose twice a day, but that certainly doesn’t replace mother nature’s water therapy. Lol
